No doubt about it Punkdoc. I always get a good laugh from you. image

Dove sorry to hear about you OH having a fall from his bike. You should see the conditions the riders are experiencing on Le Tour. There's been lots of slippery slides. It's currently pouring around them. Dont know how to spell Leige, but somewhere in Germany/France.

Im cold tonight so might push the 'record button' and watch the race tomorrow. My bed and electric blanket are calling. Hubby said it's registering minus three currently.

Liège is in Belgium Pat - on the Meuse and below Maastricht in the Netherlands.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Thanks Pat. Hope you're not too chilly - the leccy blanket sounds good! It's been cold here too - single figures all day on a couple of the wet days last week. Typical summer really... image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks Obelixx , I got tied up trying to help someone with a plant id, and didn't really concentrate where they were. I DO know where Maastricht is - how could I not, after following Ande since attending his first concert in Melbourne some years ago. Don't know how to get the thing above the "e" on the iPad.

im safely in bed now and very snug. Just as well. The house has really started to cool after so many straight days on minus temps. image

Pdoc; brilliant attitude to have with that creep! Here's hoping he steers well clear from her in future. But do remember that HR have a duty of care when it comes to sexual harassment if it does carry on.

Failing that I'm quite handy docking lambs tails; a gents family bits can't be that much different surely.

Fairy; your photo is amazing! I wish I had the stamina for wobbles into nowhere.

    Keep warm Pat!

I put off a load of chores (shopping, preparing the hounds meals which takes about 5 hrs, bits in the garden, all stuff where his lordship is a hindrance rather than help) this weekend; thinking all smug that I have Monday off...

... only I completely forgot that I don't! I've a day using big and complicated words with the council regarding my office.

    Oops!

I have lifted my elephant garlic bulb at least having realised that it was sitting around the neck after last week's rain. Looks healthy enough and is now hanging in the greenhouse to dry. It smells so strong I nearly gagged!

Hubby has just cheerfully advised that at 11.20 pm it is minus 6 - info from his little weather thing which sits on the fence outside.  Goodness knows what it will be in the morning! At least our bed is lovelyband warm, and I'm not moving!.

obelixx, I've now been advised that if I hold my finger on the "a", I'll get a choice of extra bits - á or à. How about that. Might try the e. è é. Not sure which one applies to André Rieu.  This is fun, must try some more.  Ö, ï, ù

I just get lots of "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"s but then I do have an azerty keyboard with accents.   Don't forget the little hat ^ and ç.

Warm enough now - weeding that is - to change from short sleeves to sleeveless top.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Warm enough here to pause the planting and sit in the shade for a bit.  Having lemon verbena tea (cover your ears Hosta, but it was inspired by Montyimage).  I bought a couple of plants at Colombia Road Market when I went at Easter.......and it really does taste like lemon sherbert in a mug image

Sat watching the butterflies and the birds - pair of goldfinches on the feeders, so close I can almost touch them.......no sudden movements here for a while

On a less bucolic note, the festival of speed is on at Goodwood this weekend, and we're on the flight path.Red arrows nearly took the cowls off our chimneys yesterday image
