Foot's not too bad thanks Fairy ... still a bit achey .. feels a bit bruised inside ... but I s'pose that's not surprising. Thank goodness they need me to keep an eye on those tennis matches
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Sunny and pleasant at 25C here. Been to La Roche to get fresh clams form the fish market and some fruit and veg too then a visit to the central square which has a boring but huge statue of tiny Napoleon (who are they kidding?) and a series of water features containing mechanised beasties. Push buttons, pull levers and the hippo moves, the frogs jump, the otter does a circuit etc plus flamingoes, a carp, crocodile and 2 birds that are probably storks. Great fun. I shall take pics next time.
Then on to buy some sports gear for Possum and some fabric for a frock. Lovely having her here but it does seem to involve a lot of shopping! I'm sewing till it cools a bit and then on plant watering.
I trust all those who don't mind the appalling grunting are enjoying the tennis. Not for me anymore.
Sorry about you ills Hosta. Good luck getting it sorted. Will the weather clear for walkies tomorrow FG? Love Agataha Christie with Joan Hicksoon and rather like Geraldine too and, of course, David Suchet but I prefer the Marples.
Clari - your OH needs to do a lot of growing up. Get him trained now or he'll just get worse. You both live in that house so he should be doing at least half the cooking, cleaning, shopping and also making you happy with care and attention and not indulging in car toys.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I might have to resort to more h****work instead....
It's supposed to be ok tomorrow Obelixx, but windy
D'you think Trumpy might commission a statue of himself while he's there? If they can make Napoleon look 'big' it could do wonders for his teeny tiny hands....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
In 22 years I've never cooked my Husband a meal. I tend to clean the bathrooms as he hates doing them. I never do any ironing either ( he likes doing it ) but I do work in the garden every single day of the year that I'm not at work or on holiday.
As long as it's by mutual agreement it's fine Hosta but not when on half of a couple is taking the p*ss. OH does all our ironing and I clean loos but we share the tidying and other cleaning now unless it involves his bloody Dyson. I also do all the decorating but he does the heavy lifting in the garden while I do the planning and planting cos he has black thumbs and also refuses to learn the difference between a weed and a treasure.

Evening all, Liri you were right about the flies. I was in the lounge this evening and heard buzzing looked round and saw movement inside the log burner. After you mentioned about the vents I had shut them just in case. When I checked there were loads in there. Hubby has now lit a fire. Hopefully problem solved.
Am typing this on the new laptop. Much faster than the old one. Have sorted most of the stuff out now. Just need to get an ad blocker for this site. It's a nightmare. Someone suggested one on here last time can anyone recommend one?

Dove - I felt a twinge in my right knee , so I'm having to help you out with those tennis matches...

P**ing down outside anyway so that'll keep me occupied till I go and collect my new lawnmower.

Just had a look at tonight's telly: tennis, cricket and para athletics. For those of us who hate sport? Casualty!! I ask you.
Looks like it'll be 2 episodes of Joanna Lumley in India for us.

Obs, don't say that.

Does that count?
