I made gnome cakes image Want one Joyce? Belated Happy Birthday - I could stick a candle in one for you? Anyone else? They're actually not bad, considering I'm no baker image. But the courgettes have rather gotten away from me so I needed to use them up .....

well ok, if you're sure - it's cream cheese icing though, so not too sweet ....

As an aside, I've eaten lots of flowers, but hadn't tried fennel flowers before. Delicious image

Happy birthday for yesterday Joyce.  Good to have a surprise to help you along.

Those gnome cakes look great fun - love the flowers - and your sponge looks yummy too Dove.  No cakes here tho as Possum and I are dieting.  She indulged in too many pancakes and microwaved chocolate mug cakes during exams so I'm trying to keep the calories down.  Hence all the sewing too.

I shall make that courgette cake when she's gone again.

ooh - that looks just the thing image. May have a go at the weekend if I can find another lemon. Our local baker sells courgette, lime and cardamom cakes which are also lovely but I'll have to guess the recipe. And my recipe book has a courgette and chocolate cake recipe too. But I have to get some soya-free chocolate to make that one. So courgette and pistachio sounds like a good one to try next image.

I already have enough chutney image
