    Hurrah.

Must take Hubby to the garden centre more often. We needed to buy a new gas bottle for the cooker hob and, while we were there, I managed to persuade him to buy me a lovely dark red water lily at £27.00.

    Result.

whos a lucky Hosta then? image

I owe you a big Thank You!!! What you said last year gave me the courage to leave most of my hostas in the sunshine and just give them lots of water. The colour and markings on H. Stained Glass has improved beyond belief

I think your hubby needs to take me to the GC, Hosta.

I took Sarah ravens collection of sweet peas this year, in the whole very pleased with them but they are yellowing now and stems shorter. Could all be caused by weather conditions.

Joyce I hope the forecast is right it has chucked it down since 10pm last night

punk bet you will find an Air b&b in town, such a gorgeous part of the world bound to be some

Fairy have a good walk, hopefully Joyce is right and weather will be fine

Hosta  this is just too much pain for you  are the powers that be saying now?

LilyP - last year some of my sweetpeas plants got nibbled by the meeces ???, so i bought Sarah Raven seedlings to replace them.  They produced much shorter, altogether more weedy flowers than my Eagle seeds, and with much less scent.  Eagle for me every time now (their Chelsea collection changes varieties each year, which is nice).

Lazy morning, after a hectic, full on week.  Face time with Chicklet, bit of tidying, and now heading out to the garden to pot on my lupin seedlingsimage

Very, very nice to have littlest chicklet home image

Lovelly sweet peas, mine arent doing very well this year.  Think they prefer it cooler.  Just got back from babysitting at my daughter, dropped grandkids at other grandparents.  Hubby putting up shed.  Yesterday when double glazing guys went (boss made yet anoth site visit to smooth things over, said they must tell us what they are doing next) they dont finnish one job ie conservaotry before moving on to installing kitchen window. wondered why I had got a handle one one of the conservatory windows, Hubby said he knew why, shoed me a hndle next it the window all bashed about, God knows what they did with it, told them, DONT put seals round frnech doors, because they have b******e up laminate he has to take it up, guess what, YUP they have put all the seals on and sealed, AND they have put the dog flap (which is a cheap nasty one, ot like the previous one) on upside down. and the french doors wouldnt close yesterday!  So, was hoping for better, but still fed up, those boxes are sure getting full Dove!!!

Afternoon all. Three loafs baked, chocolate brownies cooling, and now watching the qualifying (F1).

Yesterday I found out that his lordship has spent over £300 on cleaning products for his new car; it even has it's own special towel...

... shame it's rained all weekend so he can't use them! He's currently trying to show me you tube things of how to clean a car properly.

Tempted to go out in the truck up some muddy tracks for a good coating of mud to balance things out.
