At least with baby poo you haven't had to walk up and down the same park for ten minutes in the pouring rain in the dark while they choose just that right spot to let rip.
Or watched it sink / melt into the snow drift knowing you'll freeze your hands having to dig it out.
Or the surprise poo when you think he's empty because you have literally only just been out and it's safe to just up to the post box with a letter with no bags and... BIGGEST POO just as the nice lady from church walks by.
OH is home alone with our two dogs and the kittens. We've always taken both of them on hols but are now looking into getting house-sitters to look after them and the kittens because kennels cost a fortune and they don't like it.
Funeral was good as it concentrated on celebrating his life. Good to see all the family and old friends despite trying circumstances. Possum and I have a few errands to run before we leave on Friday morning and they include a raid on a proper Chinese supermarket but no garden centres.
I hope you are OK Joyce and having some help with all the arrangements. Not easy.

BL, the new tenants are nice enough, but having a fixed monthly price for electricity, they bought a freezer ( on 24 7 ) and a tumble drier which is used almost daily , even if it's a totally sunny day and no rain forecast. Now they want a puppy. grr
Glad it'll be quick Joyce. It's bad enough without having to hang about. I hope it all goes smoothly for you and your family.
Hosta - can I suggest a separate meter for your tenants, even if only for the next ones? Some people clearly just take advantage with no thought for others or the environment. Has your new smart meter shown up any nefarious consumption from other "users" or is it too soon. Definitely no to a puppy or a kitten. They need company and attention and entertainment or they become a bit scary mad.
Heading for bed soon. It's been a long day and I was woken early by some pesky vehicle reversing below my window with full beeping alarm........
Clari - never go anywhere without a poo bag. You're bound to need one.

My friend died from cancer on 24th June, I mentioned it here, her funeral will be Thursday next week. Seems ages to me. We will be having a service here at the same time as the English one. In France the norm is within 3 days of death. I had to get special permission for my 1st OH's funeral for 5 days to allow family to come from England.
Will think of you, Joyce, on Thursday.xx
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Joyce, I'm glad it's quick.
I've never understood why it seems to take about 2 weeks down here when in Scotland it can be done in a few days.
Hosta hugs to you and your family.
