Nanny B ... Stress seems to do the opposite to me ... human beings are conundrums aren't they ... Or should that be conundra?

DL - I find chicken thigh meat stays moist in curries much better than breast meat but also that marinading in plain, Greek style yoghurt helps tenderise.   Much like your poaching method.   My experiment with orange and rosemary turned out very well.

Dove - stress sends me either way - chocolate and comfort food or inability to eat.  Now I'm 27 it tends to be the comfort route.    Have a look at this - very entertaining:-

Good fun, Obelixx.  It's hard to be a proper pedant when nobody knows what is actually correct...

Thank you, Joyce!  I'm sure we'll have a good time even if it rains.  image

Liri - you're going to Ireland aren't you?  Bound to rain but feel free to send it here instead.   Have a great time.

    Evening all.

Ive been watching the weather channel this morning and I now understand why yesterday was so cold. Apparently Perisher Valler ski resort didn't get above minus 2 all day yesterday. I'm fairly certain that our strong winds were directly from there. image No wonder I'm spending so much time inside.

Just been to town for a drive. The sun is out, but still cold.
