For reasons I can not understand my spine has decided to flare up so I am currently poaching myself on the sofa with a hot water bottle (it's 23'C in the house).
His lordship is cleaning the car (not THAT one; his old one that is for sale) but I don't think it'll get the full works somehow! I don't think he got the hint about my car being nearly filthy. Mind you he's not getting the hint about not using the kitchen table as a dumping ground. Gentle prodding! He'll get there eventually (or will be forced to move onto the shed).
Any suggestions for supper tonight? I was going to have a very lazy pizza but that's what he had last night while he was out with his best friend so he'll not want it twice in a row. (Plus I can save it for Saturday as I'm working all weekend).
Clarington....do you know what your issue is? , you say flare up but not flared up 'again'......have you had an MRI recently . I suffered rather stupidly for >15 years before I finally decided to have back surgery in April this year . The results have been unbelievable . So please go and have your back checked out .
Dacha: I've a spinal cord injury, damage where I broke it in five places, several collapsed discs, and enough scar tissue to make it look like Spider-Man sneezed in there so don't worry it's nothing that hasn't been prodded at repeatedly
Rum normally works wonders but it's a little early in the day for that.

Clari - the cure for the kitchen table problem is a large bin bag or box into which you sweep all his crud and then place by the bins. If he wants to keep it he has to sort it and stash it. Even small boys can learn that tables are for food, chats over drinks, maybe a bit of crafting but not junk storage.
Sorry your back is playing up and hope it eases. Have you tried taking your jalopy thru a car wash? They do work quite well and take less time than the average hand wash. You could offer to take his new jalopy to save him time to spend with you..........
Trying chicken breasts with orange and rosemary for dinner. Rice or buttery boiled potatoes and steamed green cabbage. No garlic or chili for a change.

We had chicken as well, I did one of my wife's favorites after her long trip , tandoori chicken , I always like to poach chicken very gently in milk before using it for this recipe or curries ....maybe I'm crazy but it always keeps the chicken moist .....served with spinach and carrots from our garden .....I know ....another crazy combination but it worked
what did you do to yourself clarington? Folk saying I have a sense of humour, there afre a lot of people with a lot worse problems than mine, oh, talking of, Hubby has gone from11.5 stone to 10. stone with the bloody stress
