    Nearly the weekend image

Rescued the tomatoes ? yesterday evening .....lost one plant but the others seemed to survive their ordeal image  Maybe go back to canes next year - but the string method is so simple .....maybe stronger string would be the answer ?  Something to ponder on this grey and dreary Friday.

Have a good day all you lovely peeps image

Morning, belate Happy Birthday Joyce, 21 again eh!  Oooh, those cakes look gorgeous, anyone read that article in the Daily Mail yesterday, for those who didnt title "little green lies" says one in six "gardeners buy veg in a shop and pretend they grew it from seed, so c'meon which of you is it!!  Seriously, fellow forkers, I can feel another letter coming on, when my daughter comes up on Sunday to bring the grandkids,I shall get her to send pics of my veg growing! Just been outside with the dogs, (Leo having his teeth clean under GA today, so have to make sure he doesnt eat or drink) it says its 17d but it blooming horrible! Grey, nasty, very windy, feels really cold, is it July, I remember reading in (several) papers at the begeining of June, -June and July were going to be very hot, perhaps they just got the country wrong!

Nanny! I heard about that report on the radio yesterday afternoon (meant to comment here but forgot). It wouldn't surprise me the white lies people tell but 1 in 6 seemed a lot! *looks suspiciously around the forum*

For years I've tried to grow sun flowers. Never succeeded. Gave seeds from the same packet to children groups and activities and received pictures of monsters up the side of houses! Now I wonder image

Coincidentally this year I spotted three sun flower seed weeds in the lawn under the bird feeder. I've left them and they're doing great. The ones I lovingly planted... No show.
