Wonky! There's plenty of space on the sofa if the cats dont mind Reggies stinky feet.

I'm thinking a proper milky hot chocolate might be in order.

I have the Cadburys instant add hot water which is acceptable but sometimes you need to dig into the back of the cupboard and go for the proper stuff that involves carefully simmering the milk on the hob until it *just* reaches that perfect point.

I've just pulled the dog duvet out of his bed to cuddle up on the sofa with him. A friend has just reminded me I have some proof reading to do so will enjoy the warmth of the laptop!

Evening all,  Rotten day here weather wise so I've been catching up on the h*******k.  I'm shattered after scrubbing carpets, cleaning windows etc etc.  Feeling a bit down at the moment so trying to keep myself busy.  Hope everyone has a good night, catch up with you all in the morning.

The best hot chocolate is made with hot milk and minimum 54% chocolate squares or chips stirred in.  Sweeten to taste.

Been out most of the day in Nantes.  Found a keyboard for Possum then headed for a brasserie on the quayside for lunch - very good - and then an Asian supermarket for a good raid and finally the patchwork shop.   Home after that to sort out the pantry ready for a new freezer to be delivered to replace the one whose door seal has broken and is no longer replaceable.   Having done all that Oh then asked if we could possibly have dinner earlier tomorrow!

PDoc - agree.  You must discuss it at length with your missus and emphasis on the listening.   You know what you want but please let her explain what she wants, needs, fears........

Wonky - good to see if briefly.   Glad things are going well for you and hope you get the CT thing sorted soon.

Hi to everyone else.  Hope you have a good weekend in view.

Yvie - sorry to hear you're a bit down. Hopefully the weather will be a bit better tomorrow. It's not helpful when it's lousy outdoors. Especially when it means you have to resort to housework  image

Hosta - heating on....you've become such a lightweight since moving south... image

Good to see you Wonks. Hope you're not too worn out  image

Hello Wonky. Sorry you're a bit down Yvie.

We had a quieter day yesterday after the Sandringham flower show, but we did go out for an explore of some local villages, found a new pub. Had dinner there this evening. OH put up a rail for a shower curtain and I hemmed the curtain on a side and a bottom as it was too big. Did a bit of weeding and planted a Nepeta I'd bought at the flower show.

Today we went to Mundesley on the coast and walked on the beach, sun was out, quite warm. Then we went to The Old Vicarage garden at East Ruston. Gorgeous, we'd been last year in June but the flowers have changed. Had tea in the tea room then it started to drizzle.

Tomorrow there are some gardens open in the village in aid of the church, may go for a look.

I agree about Punkdoc. I'm wondering if the time has come to stay at home and look after OH. Must not feel guilty, already done far more to help than most people could or would.
