Wine looks good Dove. Still working on finding a good one here for every day quaffing. Bought a leg of lamb yesterday Dove. 3 shoulders in the freezer but OH wants to do lamb kebabs on the BBQ. 28€ a kilo ready made but 16.50€ for a leg. Just have to decide on a marinade and remember to hide the bone from the dogs.
Just got the hand sewing to do on my jacket and then maybe some gardening when the sun is less strong. Definitely not watching the grunt show.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Last time I saw her was at their Diamond Wedding celebrations (I'd been their littlest bridesmaid)... she and uncle said they'd had a wonderful life and done everything they'd ever wanted to do ......... not bad, eh?
Nearly Snap! We had smoked salmon pate for lunch
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
He's STILL cleaning the car. Would it be wrong to flick yoghurt a la bird poo at it?
I decided to start stripping the paint (gloss) on the banister. We were intending on doing the hallway last of all but since things have stagnated and I can't hang doors I thought I'd give it a kick start. Under the awful gloss is a hideous poo brown varnish hiding the beautiful pine.
Had to stop for a rest now; it does rather smell and I still need to work out what to do for dinner!
Clari ... I'd ask him what he's worried, stressed and anxious about ... if he says he's not then tell him he should stop behaving as if he is and engage with the real world ...

Dove, sorry for your loss. XXX. Just removed soggy laminate from conservatory, boy, does it stink in there! concrete floor now, dehumidifier on. Yet, another trip to the tip. Seeds came from Sarah Raven, Daucus Carota Purple kisses, a really pretty purple wild carrot, angelica, and eryngium miss willotts ghost. Took the dogs along cliff walk from Eastbourne to beachy Head, I think Hubby thought a REALLY long walk would clear my head, stop me thinking! Well, unfortunately, its a suicide as well as beauty spot, bits of cars on the beach, made me sad to think of how they got there! Then a mile and a halk walk back to Hollywell, (Holy fresh water) but over very large pebbles and big chalk rocks, so the dogs had a 2 and half hour walk (so did we of course!) Got a few wild flower seeds along the way for my garden.
Clari - it does sound like avoidance behaviour or else he really is just stupid and childish and selfish and insensitive. Talk to him, judge for yourself and then get him fixed or binned. Life is too short.
I have finished my jacket and am about to tackle the leg of lamb which will be marinaded while we walk the dogs and then have showers before dinner. OH is back from playing golf all day and watching golf on TV till it's cool enough for walkies. Bit like me going to Chelsea all day and then watching it on TV when I get home but then that is just once a year at most. He does it twice a week!
The continuing drought has made me look at buying Beth Chatto's Dry Garden. Been chatting to the neighbour who says this summer and last were unusually hot and the 13 month drought is exceptional. Farmers must be tearing their hair.
Sounds like a good walk NB.

That's ridiculous Clari
A few weeks before he died OH was still asking if there was anything he could do to help. . . .

Thank you NannyB ... it was a while back that she passed away but kind thoughts are always welcome
Isn't there anywhere else to go for a walk? I can recommend the coastal walks around Rye Harbour

We are a very long way from Rye, we were just going to walk the dogs along the beach, and like Topsy is "growed", went to the "tip" en route.
