    Afternoon all.

Running on empty at the moment. I think tomorrow will be loud music on in the office as I'm home alone and many many mugs of tea.

His lordship is out on Saturday; I think a duvet day with the dog is in order.

Evening. Just plonking down, and kittens snuggling on, so will read back. Looks like cake-related talk today - excellent.

Joyce - how lovely you had surprise flowers. After my Mum died I didn't want my Birthday, as it was her who always made a fuss of me. My sister surprised me with some personalised cup cakes - which is just the sort of thing Mum would have done so really lovely.

Extremely pleased that Friday is nearly here... daren't look at the weather forecast in case it spoils the mood.

    Evening all.

Well, what a lovely ,lovely day I've had with lovely Lyn.

We had a walk round Rosemoor ( only bought 3 Iris ensata ) and stopped at Lidl on the way home where she introduced me to 30p chocolate. ( we might live to regret that one image) then we came back here, just before Hubby arrived back, had a cuppa and carrot cake and then a walk round the garden together. Came back indoors and had to have more tea.

Lyn arrived with 2 FAB francoa and left with a white agapanthus and a water lily. As my dear late Mother would have said " Fair exchange is no robbery"

I've just watered and fed the polytunnel so it's time to dump into the bath and spend the evening with Hubby.

Lots to do in the garden but a day spend in  company as nice as Lyn in as good a place as Rosemoor was just what the doctor ordered.

Nice post sweetie, I'll put the photos on another thread, don't forget the Lavender Agastache.

It really was a lovely day, not many people, weather just right, no seeds ready yet though??

I used to do those choc cakes in am ug with the girls when  they were little Obelixx. Too easy though....image

You kept that quiet Joyce. Hope you had a good day - or as good as is possible under the recent circumstances . Nice having your daughter there. Love and hugs to you xxx

I'll get those seeds off to you tomorrow if I can - I need to get a stamp!

It warmed up a bit here after the rain went off. Got to the dizzy height of 13 at lunchtime, but mid teens later. Food shopping done so that's another chore out the way - till next week....image

Can't believe it's almost the end of the week again. Forecast looks c**p for the weekend though, thunder lightning and heavy rain on the hills, so not likely to get a walk. Plenty to do at home I suppose...

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Really good electric storm earlier ... Black and red and yellow sky and huge flashes of sheet and forked lightning for an hour or so .. and not a drop of rain.

Now it's time for bed ... Sweet dreams all image

Just relazing in bed and catching up with the gossip. Glad you had a good birthday Joyce. Lots of lovely cake floating around. Could do with a slice.

Can't remember who was going to Market Drayton but Dorothy Clive Garden is around there. Well worth a visit. Photo above

Marathon housework day today so I'm shattered. See you in the morning.
