I know neither Clari, not her OH,so I'm not talking about them personally, but I do see now there's a bit of a pattern which I hadn't, until now, appreciated.
Young men do seem to be somewhat indulged by their Mothers and seem to end up feeling they deserve the same of wives / girlfriends. I've seen it with boyfriends of my own daughters and the couple in our flat
" Daniel throws his towel on the floor when he's had a shower so I have to wash it"
A. Tell Daniel NOT to throw the towel on the floor.
B. Tell Daniel to pick it up.
C. Tell Daniel to do his own bloody laundry.
All these seem traits of the same problem.
If men get away with such behaviour, where's the incentive for them to desist?
The day isn't long enough for me to list my Hubby's faults, but I love him despite them and , to be fair, he has to put up with an equally long list of my own faults.
Oh, you two early wakers! I look forward to your sleepless mornings - it gives me someone to talk to. Time for me to complain now. Hubby spends a LOT of time in the computer room, so I'm often alone in the living room. I guess that's why I like chatting to you all.
i assume Dachalover understands the difference between quite and quiet.
tee hee Joyce. I've just sorted out a basket to go on , but our washing machines are in the garage (underneath the flat ) so we have a "not before 9am" rule.
I think I might take a cuppa up to the tunnel and " shave the armpits" on the tomatoes.

Hi pat and Dachalover.
I have been answering emails from abroad for the past hour. All those different time zones!.
Now going back to bed for maybe a bit more sleep.

Pat - It's good to know you are around when there's a sleepless night here.
By nature, I am an early morning person but if it's too early I can doze in the afternoon......a benefit of retirement.
