I think they think that once a girl has got a permanent chap she loses interest in other things image

New girlfriends go to such things because they're new and chaps assume they're going along just to please the chap.  I mean, girls don't really like engines do they image image

To be fair, when I was going out with Wonky's Papa I used to go and watch him play football every Saturday and Sunday ... yes ... honest ... either standing on the touchline or sitting in a far full of other footballers' wives image  Once we were married I spent Saturday afternoons baking for his pack-up the following week and Sunday I was doing h*wk and Ir*ning  ... to be honest doing that with Radio 4 for company was better than standing on a touchline image

    Hi all.

Long time since I have been up this late.

Due to the weather looking awful for the whole w/e, we decided to drink far too much and to have a major discussion about the future.

We decided [ really was we ], that my need for thrills [ since I gave up other slightly dangerous pursuits ] was becoming selfish and not really compatible with a marriage where we both were happy.

I will not be going to the Yemen and have to decide whether to give up my license to practice, to stop me getting the sudden urge to travel to disaster zones, for some thrills.

I hope that I can be happy with this, I think my marriage will prove more important than a need for temporary thrills.

How can you lie there and think of England

    Punkdoc.

I , for one , am thrilled you've both had a good long chat about it all and agreed upon an outcome.

Sometimes you need "to drink far too much and to have a major discussion about the future."

You're never too old to take up a new interest, something in which you can be equally involved. Quite what that might be, may take the rest of your lives to find out.image but I'm sure you'll have fun TOGETHER, SAFELY, finding out. xx

Oh Punkdoc I have to say that part of me is bursting with relief for you. Sometimes a big drink is needed to get things out. You are very talented I'm sure there are other ways you can help others, and get some of the thrill, while your family can relax a little knowing you are safe and will return home.

Delighted that the Pdoc partnership has worked things out - relationships like that are worth their weight ?
