We are a very long way from Rye, we were just going to walk the dogs along the beach, and like Topsy is "growed", went to the "tip" en route.

Ah ... I've been on walks like that ................ image

Afternoon all, been working on setting up the laptop for most of the weekend so no gardening has been done apart from a bit of deadheading, although hubby has mowed the lawn.  Adblock has been downloaded and is working fine.  The only problem I have is that I can't get my iPhone to access photos on the laptop.  I have downloaded iPhone photos on both devices but still no go.  Nevermind I expect I'll have to get some help with that bit.  Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend.

6 o'clock and that's me home for the day.

I gave up at 9.15 last week so didn't see Poldark. I'm thinking of squeezing it in before to-night's episode.

Yes, you need to see last week's episode before you see this week's or image

    Hi all.

Sticking my head above the parapet here, regarding Clari's OH.

    In mitigation:

Most men, especially young, non puppy trained men, are lazy.

We tend to learn this from our fathers, who were mostly lazy.

Many of us recognise this problem, but opt for the easiest life possible, a trait I think peculiar to the male sex.

However, as we age and with a firm hand, most of us can learn to contribute at least 30% to the workload of a relationship.

    Of course I do more, but it would be wrong to expect this. { I appreciate that irony is difficult to recognise on a blog, so this is a clue }

Give the man a chance, Clari obviously chose to live with him for a reason.

PS. Can anyone do my ironing. image

No one knows what the inside of a relationship is like ... I think we have to assume, unless we have information to the contrary, that most people get fulfillment out of their relationship ... just because they have a moan and a whinge from time to time it' doesn't mean that they're a victim.

However, if people are miserable and unhappy in a relationship they should do something about it ... things don't get better by themselves and there's nothing worse than being lonely while being part of a couple.

I think/hope/believe we are long past the point of males of any age, but especially the younger ones, expecting to get away with laziness in relationships on the grounds they're just boys and slow to grow up.   Clari is clearly an intelligent, hard working and active woman who is definitely not boring and deserves more give and less take.    It's abusive behaviour and not unlike DD's situation where she deserved not to be belittled and undermined at every turn.

Evening all - home from the hill image

Another longish day - back to where I was last week - to do the other Munro which connects to last week's. Could have done both last week  it would only havebeen about another hour. Weather was iffy up nearer the plateau, but it cleared and turned out well. A bit breezy, as forecast - had a job keeping the camera still. I'll do photos tomorrow as the mouse is playing up a bit, but this is the corrie nearthe summit

I've  recorded the tennis but I know who won. The right result I think, thoroughly deserved, and a grand result for Jamie & Martina in the mixed image

I'll read back  to see what you've all been doing, now that I've had something to eat and a large cuppa image

    Good evening friends!

Just back from Buxton, where we've been singing in the Festival fringe.  I managed to stop coughing to a large extent and it went well - in fact we got a wonderful review from our first gig, and increasing numbers in the audience for the remaining three concerts.  image

I've only managed to read back through today's posts on this thread - you've been very chatty!  I'll have another look tomorrow and get a bit further back.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
