Yes thanks Joyce. That's exactly where I am image.

I've been watching a very talented young woman colouring in a book (on line) and thinking I might try some of her colour choices. Very interesting. If you're interested, her name is Alena and I found her under "Coloring with Alena".image

It's very warm here already Pat.  I will do some early watering then retreat to the shade as I don't do anything at all in the heat.

I will have a look online  at Alena as I have a few books ready to pass time on wet, winter days.

I'm with you in the heat thing Joyce. As I've got older I can't take the extremes. It's rather annoying, because I sometimes I feel as though I'm wasting time, probably because of all the years I worked and studied and raised kids, etc. etc. it's hard to get used to being "Lazy", but we keep telling ourselves that's we've earned our time now.

Hubby has a meeting this afternoon which it has fallen onto his shoulders to organise, so he's busily studying what he has to do and what to discuss with the attendees. Originally it was being run by someone else who now happens to be overseas and his deputy rang to say he is currently being tested on a blood pressure machine so cant come.image Sometimes I wonder if this Fire Brigade stuff is worth it!

I was thinking about how cold it is this winter and I think the funniest thing that I've noticed is that Ive had to squeeze really  hard to get the tooth paste out of the tube. I've never experienced that before! image

Pat, it must get a bit annoying when your OH gets landed with things at short notice.

Is the  fire brigade in your area mainly composed of volunteers?

    Morning all

Beautiful morning in Moscow , there has been a bereavement in our family so my wife has had to go  for the funeral, a 15 hour train journey away ! So I am home alone with our little Yorkie who is not too well at the moment ......two old grumpy men together ....sorry for the graphic nature of this photo image

Joyce, yes they are all volunteers in the village. There are paid staff in our local town 25 km away, but they are there mainly for coordination of things.

Dachalover, hope your little dog gets better soon. We lost our 4kg toy poodle at Easter time and we still miss her. She was 15 years old.

Thanks Pat, Joyce.....our Yorkie is 14 years old and is such a huge part of our lives .....my wife's mum ....my dear mother-in-law has 5 cats.....she comes to our dacha for the summer season so when the cats move from an apartment in a city 600Km from Moscow to a dacha in the countryside they just go feral ......it's very interesting to see how a <2Kg little dog deals with cats some of whom weigh >8Kg:)
