LG ... the 80 I kept are my 'must keeps'

If the house was on fire I'd probably grab Tamasin Day Lewis' Kitchen Bible in one hand and Darina Allen's Forgotten Skills of Cooking......... then I'd probably rush back in for some Simon Hopkinson and Nigel Slater ...  and I couldn't be parted from Dorothy Hartley's Food in England ... or Jane Grigson's Charcuterie and French Pork Cookery ......... and my latest acquisition which I think is brilliant is Ping Coombes' Malaysia image

What weird behaviour, Hosta. I'm sorry it didn't work out.

I'm so glad you elaborated, Dove. Really interesting top two (I'll be seeking them in the library soon). I'm no cook, really, though I do my best. Not a natural. The only one listed that I own is the Hartley  which I requested for Christmas last year but haven't read yet.

Oh my!  Did you see Nadia doing a potato crisp and chocolate tart with salted peanuts?

Jane Grigson and Elizabeth David for me.  A treat to read even if I'm not cooking.      Lots of ethnic stuff and Italian and vegetarian.   Whittled my collection down to 2.5 metres or so before we moved.   Gave the rest to Action Aid in Brussels for their twice yearly book sales to raise funds.

White House antics makes Game of Thrones look pedestrian.....my favourite tweet of the dayimage

Took this photo from the kitchen window earlier.  You'll have to zoom in behind the rudbeckia/hydrangea combo to see who was sunning himself there this eveningimage

Not a care in the world, and it was a very noisy kitchen full of people at the time image

    Evening all.

I've just been informed that it's national orgasm day! Is there really a day for everything now?

Still; at least you'll all have big smiles on your faces ready for YORKSHIRE DAY tomorrow!  image

I started clearing the mound that was created when we dug the pond / levelled the land for the man shed. It's slow progress seeing as how I can't dig / the weeds have a firm grip but as you can see I had some help.

"Man shed"........why then Clari, is it you and the dog doing the digging ?
