    Morning Dove ☀️

Off to do the democratic thing in a moment image  Might get caught up in another late one at work, so do not want to get timed out.

Thanks for the good wishes for littlest Chicklet - apparently it went well.  No more this week, but one-a-day next week image.  Kitty - didn't realise we were kindred spirits image. Hope yours went well too yesterday ......its a stressful time, isn't it image.  Roll on end of June image

    Morning all,

Been busy chasing down English bone china teacups and saucers c/o Bizzy Lizzy who placed an advert for me in an English group here. Great success. image

Am also meeting two 'builders' later to get separate quotes for my terrace, the more I look at it the more I realise how much of a slope there is and I am really not sure how well the pouring of tea will cope with it. Anyway, worth a quote or two to see just how silly a price they come up with. image

Frustrated with my washing machine (well myself really), I put a load in last night on the timer ready to put out first thing this morning, however, I didn't click the door shut properly so nothing happened. image

Well must dash, busy day ahead, have a good day all. image

Morning everyone and hi Edd. I can understand you are having fun confusing your visitor.

We've been cutting firewood out the back again. I'll put some photos on the camera thread.

OH comes home this morning so best get myself showered  & presentable!

Dove - wouldn't somebody from your chosen party come & drive you to the polling station & save you the cab fare? (unless you're voting green of course - in which case they might offer a crossbar...image)

OH has a permanent postal vote because of his job so he's already done the deed, but he'll accompany me to the polling station later - nice to be able to go on our bikes. Might even continue the ride to the pub for lunchimage

Oh, my legs ache. Walking around chatsworth in hiking boots yesterday , and I am cream crackered.

Yes, everyone,  GO OUT AND VOTE.  I have always voted because I was taught at school that women only have the vote because other women died for us.  I do despair of some of the younger generation. I asked the girls ( in their 20's) at work about voting last week. One replied that she didn't usually vote, but she wasn't voting for that woman because she didn't vote against fox hunting. I said I thought there was a few more important issues on the table, like brexit and terrorism, and taxes. I got the reply that she didn't read newspapers, didn't watch the news, and her only info came from facebook. I despair.

We seemed to have missed the worst of the wind. The beans and polytunnel are still standing.  It is a bit wet here. I have an architect coming this afternoon. I hope he brings his wellies.

I was going to do that Topbird but I'd have to fit in with them timewise and OH will need to come with me  into the Polling Station so it has to be when he gets back from work ....... it's only half a mile down the road and will take five mins and I'll feel 'in control' just a little bit image

    Morning all.

Still awake at 4 this morning image

Read this about our lovely MP.

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/revealed-the-british-mps-who-earned-more-than-7m-outside-of-parliament-in-2014-10066802.html#gallery

How can an MP justify earning £820,867 in legal work ON TOP of the full time job of being an MP?
