Evening guys. Much cooler tonight - sitting out enjoying the breeze - hope it's blowing into the bedroom! Don't think the storms will reach South Wales - bit disappointed as it's the traditional finalé to a hot spell.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Hi All, have read back but now too tired to write much (is that a sigh of relief I hear image).

Signage going up on the house tomorrow with a banner that says Opening 8th July eek, eek gulp. imageimage

Have a million things to do, but this evening have had a glass of wine in the garden and just sat and thought how far I have come, Someone said 'down time' is important.image

However, bugs are biting and bed is beckoning so good night all. Hope poorly peeps continue to improve. image

    Morning all.

Wide awake at 3.30. On a plus side, the sprinkler pressure is phenomenal.

    A wee story for you.

Got to work on Tuesday, my manager said " I've got a message for you"

"you remember when you had your funny turn, along the road ?"  ( stomach pains at nursery, a few weeks back )

    " yeah"

" the older man who was there..."

    " which man?"

" you know, he was older than the others, nice chap, don't know his name. He said the whites are in flower"

" I'm not sure which man you mean.......wait a minute.... Was he black?"

" erm yes, but I didn't like to say"

" he knows he's black, he won't be offended"

    Bless'er.

I told " the older man" when he came in at the end of the day, He roared with laughter.

His white iris ensata are in flower, so I'm going in this morning to get some. I'm very tempted to make him an offer for the whole lot. He said he's not sold any in 2 years so he might be glad to get shot of them.

    Devon.

Morning Hosta image  I love the very early morning at this time of year ... Beautiful light and wildlife about not expecting to see humans image

So where are you thinking of putting the iris ... Up by the pond?

    Morning all!

The rain around here doesn't seem to be very wet. It just moves the dust around. I spent last night moving plants around by the pond, we're still not closer to any kind of design! I've decided my dwarf bamboo will go in one corner behind the rushes for an all year round green type display. My sea hollies that I adore just do not fit with anything else so they're now waiting for me to work out where they will go.

A trip to the garden centre might be in order. The horrors.

Took an anti histamine last night due to my immune system being very melodramatic. Feeling very lethargic now; drugged up even.

Hope  you feel better soon Clari image

I've had a wander  around the garden and picked some sweet peas (thank you Wonky) and am now on the sofa with my breakfast ... OH has gone to work.

A bit later on I'm going to assemble a fish pie for our supper ... I've also got a stack of paperwork that's been waiting to be sorted/shredded .......... I'll start ploughing my way through that over the next few days. image

    Morning all.

Pleasantly cooler this morning with a breeze.

Clari, hope you get inspiration soon for round the pond and that you perk up later.

Dove, am now regretting not doing sweet peas this year.image
