Site hasn't wanted to give me a window to post on. Maybe it's too hot! 34° here so not as hot as chez Obelixx.
Dove said "Wonky was born in April '76". My first daughter was born in March 76. Leg has been much better today, but I did take a strong painkiller. But back aches a bit.
OH is home Having seabass for supper, when I get around to dealing with it.
Went to the SM this morning for supplies, but been taking it easy.
Glad to read that Joyce's OH is home but sad to read about Lily P's eye. It can't be the euphorbia though, must be a secondary infection.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Hello everybody! first time I've sat down in about two weeks! Sorry for my absence!
Lilyp, sorry your other eye is infected, I thought of you today while pruning euphorbia, hope it feels better soon.

Well what can I say......its blinking hot weather to be a gardener! Extra work as one gardener is now off long term sick after driving his tractor into a branch and dislocating his retina! laughing at my most appropriate emoji! Teehee ANY RAIN....PLEASE SEND MY WAY!!!!

Dove hope you coped with your boot in the hear
Joyce I hope today went ok with your OH at home
thank for kind comments re my ? Busy is right, it is a subsequent infection. They also think I had an added reaction to the first drops. I am one of these dreadfully allergic people and no one ever believes me! Disappointed tho, such a silly thing to have happened.
Glad you took care Wonky!
Busy I hope the pain is lessening, how are all the little ones?
oh my goodness I have just seen the video of Bridge over a troubled Water, now both eyes watering!
Weeds are flowers, too, once you get to know them.” A A Milne
I'll send rain your way Wonky - after it's done it's stuff here for a few hours - we're getting a bit desperate again now. Have no idea how you're working full time in the garden in this heat. Maybe it's a little cooler being near the river?
Glad to hear your leg is feeling easier BL - take it easy.
I was doing a spot of deadheading earlier. Removed stems from an aconitum without any gloves - a bit silly. Then I had a furtle around a rose and ripped the the tip of one of my fingers which proceeded to bleed copiously - ouch. Stuck finger in mouth to soothe it. Then I remembered the toxic aconitum - duh!
Still here to tell the tale - but if I'm mysteriously taken overnight you know why....

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Cold air rolling in on top of warm ground surface Hosta ... storms a'coming .... apparently ...
Wonky ... I know you know all the words now ... you woz properly bung up ..... I also made sure you can sing all the words to Fairytale of New York, Shine on you Crazy Diamond and the Shoop Shoop Song
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Hi all, 'heavy' weather here, has tried to rain twice and not quite managed it. Watered the garden with my new 100ft hose, its the new crinkly type and i love it! The almost black decking is coming on nicely, the hot tub needs re-positioning but we've agreed its place. Hoping for the new RHS Chatsworth purchase of 3x Harlequin willows (simply divine but need a few years of care) to be planted in flush holes in the deck. Just need some advice on the 'Japanese' seating area so off to post a new thread for ideas. Excited as always and wishing |I had time to, as Dove says, noodle here more used to enjoy it so much.
Haha Dove! very true! And I made sure you knew, sweet child o mine, word up and rainy day women remember taking all my mates home from the pub?! cheers Mum! X
