Yes Joyce the room is filled with it tonight. I didn't expect much from the stocks as I thought they were too early and forced but I was wrong! Did you get sitting out today?

Lovely photos from Chicky and Lily P.

We didn't go on the walk I was thinking of, we went to Fairhaven water garden instead, which was like a walk, lots of woodland and waterside paths lined with drumstick primulas. There was a bluebell wood too. We spent 2 hours walking round it all and we went on the boat ride around the local Broad. Finished with hot chocolate in the café.

Is there a places or gardens we have visited thread for this year? Here are a couple of photos anyway.

Didn't see Topbird's post about the church before we left.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Evening all. Had a scout camp at the museum this weekend; I'm absolutely knackered as my usual volunteer wasn't able to help so I had two others who... I'm sure they mean well.

The lamb joint is roasting in the oven til his lordship gets home which is driving the poor dog crackers! His pacing feet are at least keeping me awake.

Unfortunately I've stripped the bed so can't just have a quick nap; mind you all my camp equipment is in the kitchen so if I get desperate!

I'll bet Fairhaven was lovely today BL - it's a bit more sheltered from the wind than some of the Broads.  They do great fungi forays in the autumn too.

Clari, at least have a sit down and put your feet up ((hugs))

Dove; we're still at the stage where I can sit on either the bed, the stairs, or in the dogs bed (which has at least just been washed).

His lordship has messaged to let me know to proceed with dinner. He doesn't realise that tonight I'm testing him on a new creation; rhubarb and crumble ice cream. Might be awesome, might be awful! I need to find more inventive ways to use it up before it just goes straight in the freezer!

Lovely LP- just the ticket image

The round trip wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't done it a few weeks ago as well Obelixx - when I forgot my knee braces and had to come home..  image image

Still - it's been lovely today, and I feel a bit more like myself now. No roast for me though - cheese and tomato sandwich. I'm the same when the girls aren't here Hosta, and  I often don't have dinner at all  image

I've been quite busy with various things that have needed doing for ages. Splitting things and repotting, with a lot of tea breaks to watch the bees and the birds. Found the white Thalictrum that I obviously moved earlier this year, but I thought had snuffed it  image

Siskin's a good shout for Hosta's bird, Pam.

Lovely pic BL. The bluebells are only just looking like a blue haze up here - I noticed them more along the loch yesterday. Definitely bluer than last weekend.

The daft  pigeon earlier...sat there for ages

    What's that about!  image
