Marion, just a suggestion given the number of plants you have in flower.......

A Jam Jar  Thread was started this morning  and it's lovely to see all the spring flowers.

No formal flower arrangement skills required!!  It would be lovely to see some of yours.

OK Joyce I sent a pic to the thread!  We have huge hailstones in Bristol at the moment.

I saw your beautiful tulips Marion.    There are some lovely jars of flowers to brighten up the day.

I hope you don't have any more hail....it damages the plants.

Very cold today.  I bought some pansy plugs to flower in the autumn and next winter but they had such good root systems they are flowering already!  the garden is looking very lush despite the arctic conditions.

Oh they are.  I am a plug enthusiast now GWRS.  Very cold again this morning.  I have a friend coming to dinner before we go to the theatre to see the "Beaux Stratagem" tonight so will have to stay in and do some cooking and not get my hair in a mess as I usually do out in the garden!  A bit of discipline now and then is necessary!  Forecast is for warmer weather on the way but we still need rain badly in Bristol.Have a good day.

Both were lovely GWRS.  The Beaux Stratagem is set in the early 1700s with a large cast so there was a stage full of colourful costumes which to me is next best to being in a colourful garden.  Very well acted too.

Still feels cold this morning and still no rain for the garden.  No one wants it for the holiday anyway but the plants do need a drink.

Glad you enjoyed a good theatrical production last night Marion.

I soaked an area of new herbaceous planting with the hose yesterday as the soil was so dry. No rain forecast for our corner next week.
