It has not stopped raining in Bristol all morning and still raining.  The roads and pavements are dire.  Puddles have appeared in places in my drive which have never been there before.

    A lovely flower Marion,

We have had a beautiful, warm, sunny day and I got into the garden when I got back from the dentist at 2.30.  The weeds are sprouting after the rain but are easily pulled out.

A bud has appeared on my new little magnolia tree called "Yellow River".How exciting is that on a day when it did not look as if the rain would ever stop?image

No damage caused by the incessant rain yesterday and glorious colours in the garden today.

Marion lovely pictures, it looks like you've had most of the rain for a change, it's sunshine here again, hope it stays nice at the weekend, my dad as just planted a mix of Dahlias in the front garden, when they flower I will take some pictures and show you image

I will soon be eating my own new potatoes and broad beans.  I found one other Star of Bethlehem out in one of the borders so they are not all in the big pot.  I am hoping they will self seed.imageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimageimage

Wow. Your potatoes and beans are growing well, Marion.

I'd never noticed the little purple stamens on the Star of Bethlehem.  That close-up photo is lovely, Marion.  image
