Last photo is a very pretty yellow Primula auricula, Joyce. Phygelius capensis is the SA flower in the second picture. Bristol has a very mild climate, sheltered by the Mendip hills. These two pics i took today show how Chelsea like my garden looks at present. Will have to scale them down a bit.
We had a very small shower through the night but just a trickle in the containers so not nearly enough. Still it is very dark and gloomy now though still very warm. we may see some more substantial rain today in Bristol. Roses galore in my garden. The clematis montana has been replaced by cream roses. Great timing on their part.

Second view from back door.
Very peaceful looking Marion. Like me, you have trees forming the background.
I have phygelius too but couldn't recall the name. I have been quite surprised that it has survived our colder climate up here for a few years now.
