    Afternoon all,

Those Chelsea buns look yummy Doveimage

It's been a mixed bag re weather today, rain, hail, sunshine and freezing cold.  Have been out in the garden planting up the pond.  It's basically finished now can't wait for the plants to fill out and the weather to warm up.

Was on nanna duty yesterday.  Merri and Mabel helped me to bake a cake for Merri's 9th birthday

Don't know if the photo will work.

Good Luck with the banks DD.

It's a lovely happy photo, Yvie.

Tax forms done, new car insurance forms done, spare room cleaned and bed made for the house sitter.

Tomorrow will be mostly in the GH, potting on and sowing seeds and trying to find room for everything. House sitter rang, he's watered it all before and is happy to do it again.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    Evening all.

Hubby has been mulching all day long and I've been cutting grass. 2 notches down on last week . One more notch to get it to Summer length.

Lovely sunny day , but chilly, especially sitting on the mower for hours.

Fingers crossed for you DD. x

I have just been up a tree to fetch a frightened Minstrel.  We'd been looking for an hour or so after realising we hadn't seen her for several hours.   She's really good at trees and roofs so we reckon she must have run up the tree to escape from Aiko, the greyhound/retriever dog next door with  strong prey instincts and then not been able to get down because, Crikey!, there' s a horse down there too and a pony and a mare!

Had to get our neighbour to turn off his electric fence and then climb a very dodgy ladder and then come down one handed clutching a wriggly kit.  Not good at 27!   She has now had a good feed and is curled up close on the back of the sofa.    Cosmos has slept all day despite our best efforts.

Got 5 roses potted on to their next containers and a wee clem and the latest rhubarb and the bisexual kiwi plus 11 rose cuttings I took at the last minute before we left Belgium - 2 Teasing Georgias, 3 Queen of Sweden, 1 Will Shakespeare, 1 Graham Thomas and 4 unidentified cos the writing's faded on their pots.

Sounds like a good day for you Busy.  I take it this chap is your usual reliable house-sitter.

Dove - those buns look good.  Must have a go at some.

Yvie - great looking cake and GD too.

    Time to cook dinner.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Our robin seems to be supporting two wives and two families ......... one in the hedge behind our garden and another somewhere across the road ... just as well we're providing him with plenty of live mini mealworms image

Good bakes been going on! Does anyone watch Bake Off Creme de la Creme? Ridiculously complex desserts! The judge gets her ruler out!

Hinterland (Y Gwyll) is on tonight - not sure if it broadcasts outside BBCWales at the moment but it's  a great drama/detective noir. The English version is actually bilingual but the Welsh bits are subtitled - but don't let that put you off - it's excellent (available on iPlayer).

It's a great series AuntyR. Very similar to the Scandi dramas.  It's on nationwide next month on BBC4. I've recommended it to everyone at work. Think I'm the only one there that's watched it.
