Afternoon all. Very tiring having a boozy lunch at the neighbours and then staying up ttill 1:30 to watch Star Wars with Possum and then cuddly kitten antics at 6am. I've had a long, dozy morning reading, chatting with Possum and cuddling the 4 legged crew.
Just had brunch and now it's clouded over. Will still have a potter outside. OH is playing golf and will be home for dinner.
Sorry about all the floods Pat and now mudslides in Colombia. Water can be overwhelming.
Exciting for Wonky to get her new greenhouse so soon. Will you be going over for the inauguration ceremonies Dove?
TB - yes please, pics of new border.
Looking forward to getting one planted myself now OH is back to heave big pots about and turn over the soil for me. Told farmer's wife neigbour I'd brought over 100 pots of plants from Belgium and she clearly thinks I'm mad. They have two big pots of flowers by the front door and then a big potager at the back. No ornamentals.
What else will come home from Wisley Chicky?
Get well soon Amber.
Hello and enjoy your day to all I've missed.

Hi Obelixx. Sounds as though you're enjoying having your daughter with you. My advice is. Enjoy while you can - they leave home permanently before you know it. Although, my no 2 daughter and I are closer now than we have ever been, especially since daughter no 1 died. She really misses her sister, so I think I have managed to slip in there somehow. It's very nice. Her son is having his 18 th birthday on Tuesday, so she is already thinking he'll move out when he gets to a certain stage of his life. He hasn't finished school yet, so he's at least home until he finishes year 12. She was saying to me today, that she'll notice the difference in the amount of clothes she will have to wash when he moves out - she noticed today that most of her laundry today was his. I suspect that he won't be in a hurry to move out if he works out how much she does for him. Lol.
Hi folks, haven't read back as a bit rushed today. Have been out in the garden, mowing the lawns and staining the table tops.
Dove, the clematis they sent me isn't Purpurea Plena Elegans, so I will have to complain and try and get a replacement.
I've also been busy planning my new Wildlife Pond. Hubby has agreed to help so I think we will be getting down to it after we return from Cornwall at Easter.
Evening all. The knee is fine thanks - mainly due to the fact that it didn't go anywhere today other than 220 miles in the car...
Ice axes and crampons I can often manage without if I forget them, but the items I can't be without are the knee braces....which I discovered were still in the cupboard when I arrived in Glen Nevis. I seriously thought about doing just Stob Ban instead of the two, but it's fiercely steep, so coming down would have been really stupid. I was beyond furious with myself (still am) especially as the forecast was looking spot on with an improving day, and cloud shifting from the summits by lunchtime. Stupid old tart.
I considered givng myself a penance by shifting slabs and gravel when I came home, but I did lots of other things outside instead. No substitute for a grand day in the hills though.
Not read back yet, but hope you're better soon A'spy.
Good luck with the greenhouse Wonks. I'm sure you'll enjoy it
T'bird - don't know about the bra, but there's a bloke round here could do with it
Obelixx - I'd have very little washing really, if the girls didn't live with me! Was laughing at your comment about your grandson too Pat. At least mine help with it, so it's not so bad.
S'pose I'll have to go and make dinner now too - relaly can't be a***d. We need a 'big sigh' smiley face....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
For any "gifted" ladies , Bravissimo has a 50% sale on now.
I have been naughty and got Possum, who hates gardening, to help me lift pots to th enew hosta/shade bed so I can start planning it. She asked what the baby tree things were and, when I told her they were Japanese maples, she actually showed a spark of interest (loves Japanese anything) so I also told her the hostas were mainly of Japanese origin. More interest. May get there yet.
Now have a spatchocked chicken in the oven along with some small onions and sweet potatoes with garlic and chilli and am off for my shower.
Bon appetit everyone.

Hello folks
I'm completely kn*ckered ........ splitting perennials, digging up and shifting stuff,
We had our slow-roast lamb while we watched the men's boat race
Didn't Cambridge women do well
Now OH is washing up and tidying the kitchen while I slump on the sofa with a pint of Adnam's bitter
Yvie - just saw your other post ........ maybe you're going to get two for the price of one
