  • You're all making me a bit nervous now, as I'm not sure how to tell if seedlings are leggy or not. I've moved mine to pots now to make room for the next batch of seed trays. Do you think these look healthy?

Paul they look great, leggy means they are tall and spindly, not getting enough light so they go searching for it (thats how I see it anyway)

  • Thanks Peter - fingers crossed then. Being Welsh I'm sure that you'll not only catch up quickly but ultimately overtake, or am I just thinking too much about the rugby?

My seedlings are coming along, Cosmos, Rudbekia, Echinacea,  Antirrinhum & Marigold. Cannot wait to start planting the rest in March.

Spent the good part of the day cleaning out my greenhouse, ready for the planting of seeds in March.

  • Hi aym280, it is an actual greenhouse that you attached to a wall. It is small but very compact, saying that it comes flat packed and it took me all day to put it together, it comes with the shelves that you can just release from the holes, and they will hang down so that you have more room for bigger pots. I have had it for about three years now. I love it, we brought it from Hampton Court Flower Show, where they have the exhibitions. imageimageimageimage

As you can see from these pictures from last year. When my seedlings had grown firstly in the house, I then potted them on in the greenhouse.

In the cold GH. Most stood outside over winter. Paeonia tenuifolia, front of top pic, stood outside for nearly 2 winters. The first to germinate keeled over and I thought that might be it. But doing very well now. Pricking out soon. image

    Looking good nutcutlet.
