I just popped up to the gc for bird food. They had a display of gorgeous Hellebores ericsmithii 'Molly's White'.  Ma was known as Molly to her siblings - she didn't really like the name but I couldn't resist buying one ... Any excuse to buy hellebores image

    Hi all.

A couple of hours general tidying up and weeding, it was not raining, but the fog has soaked me.

Feel much better for being outside.

Now need to settle down, ignore distractions, and study.

    See original post

You mean like a normal day?!

I'm not going to have a rant about the almighty mess a volunteer has caused simply due to the fact that we have a few of them that forget they don't have the power to confirm details.

    I'm not going to rant.

    I wont.

I may however abuse the hot chocolate machine.

We have rain, at last.  Only drizzly stuff but it is wet.  If I had a pound for every day they've promised rain and it hasn't happened I'd have a very healthy plant fund!

Been to Nantes to drop off Possum at the airport but came straight home as it was miserable up there with foggy bits too.   Now to get on and research towel radiators cos the plumber and I are having a disagreement about how big one needs to be and he wants to over-egg it.

As for petitions and"will of the people", I have to think 1.2 million or so out of a population of over 60 million is not exactly a majority but at least the matter will be debated in parliament now.

Re petition, Obelixx - I guess a lot more than 1.2 million people agree with the petition, but don't think signing it will change anything.

Lovely to buy a special plant to commemorate a special person.  image

I know, but it's like voting.  If you don't sign or vote, you can't be counted and I can't see how this petition will change things other than allowing MPs to have a say and maybe, one day but not yet, giving Trump and his entourage pause to reflect on how maybe they're being just a bit stupid and facile in their thinking.

Most of the plants I brought from my Belgian garden have associations with someone special - rellies, friends, events.

I've signed the petition, but I doubt if Trump and his entourage will pause and reflect on anything - they are so full of arrogant self belief and believe that everyone else is either evil or deluded.  image
