I've still got plants in the hanging baskets that I haven't separated and potted up. I was thinking of doing it and put the fuchsias in the back bedroom,to start off and take cuttings.

    Hi all

Just looking at my seed stock now and planning plan for this years planting and expectations ahead. Also a few challenges I am testing myself with.

Not done a lot this past month however seed planting to commence early February But lots to do ahead of that.

I must admit I don't do to much tidy work ahead of winter as I like to leave the garden a bit untidy for all creatures to hide over winter.

The allotment is still giving good crops and a visit this morning gave me a good veg return for this weeks meals

Just remember if you grow it please don't waste it as at this time of year fresh veg is pure quality when you can get it.

    Happy gardening as always

  • What am I doing? Well we are finally having a week of above freezing temps. Had to get out on my bike today and go down along the river to the fish hatchery. At the hatchery I pulled out my little packet of bird seed and had Chickadees and woodpeckers all over me. I wish I could play my video of the woodpecker in my hand.

I rearranged my plant racks to get ready to plant petunia seeds next month.

My bike ride today. River is totally frozen over in most places and the muskox at the bottom of my hill are loving the winter. The brook coming out of the hatchery stays thawed all winter so the ducks enjoy it and don't bother flying south.

    Wow, Johnny! That looks amazing!

I got it in my garden today and had a good tidy up. Felt very productive. Got a vegtrug at the end of the summer last year, so haven't had a chance to use it yet. Planned on putting the liner in and filling it with compost, but I seem to have misplaced the liner. Going to reorganise the shed and see if it pops up, but if not I'll have to buy a new one ready for the spring. Hopefully it'll show up as I think they're expensive!
