What a pain, Pat. It's a lot of work keeping intruders at bay.
Love that Parthenocissus. The colours of them when they change are glorious.
Haven't finished all my pix from yesterday's walk as my mouse batteries died and I need to use it for cropping etc. Will get them done this morning. The views were grand though - and the locals were quite friendly...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Sadly - not all dog owners are as responsible as you. There are increasing numbers of incidents up here with people going on hills or general farmland with dogs loose, and large amounts of lambs/sheep being killed.
Anyway - these ones were happily eating and playing on the hill and down at the farm
Weather was promising and I was off before half nine. Up towards that 'pimple' top right and then on over the top to the summit itself in the distance
1,900 feet and the frogspawn's starting to get tadpoley
The views start to open up - across the lochan to Crianlarich's 'big two' - Stob Binnein and Ben More
It's a grand view from the summit across Loch Lubnaig to the two Lochearnhead Munros - Stuc a Chroin and Ben Vorlich
and west to the Arrochar hills, with Ben Lomond on the far left
Ben Ledi - which you can add on to this hill and do as a traverse - if you have two cars
Bit chilly to stay at the summit too long, so gloves on and headed back down. S.Binnein and B. More under the lou'ring sky
A little pippit on the fence. There was one hovering above me for a while chirking away - I was probably a bit close to the nest

The last photo demonstrates what happens if we don't fence individual plants - kangaroo damage.

Those sheep are so pretty. Very different from our local ones which are either merino or mostly what they call "cross breeds".
She looks like a lovely natured dog, Scroggin.
Lovely photo scroggin

The photos make me feel as though I was there with you fairy
That looks a lovely day's walk, Fairy.
Lovely doggy picture with the bluebells scroggin - they look like a magic carpet.
Your photos are breathtaking Fairy - the scenery is so inspiring and love the inquisitive sheep too. Thanks for sharing them with us.
