well the final votes are in, trump won the popular vote 69.9 to 62.2 m and the electoral 306 to 232. now what does that say about how the american people feel.
here in the u .s we were lead to believe he was the architect of brexit and thought this is what the british people wanted. please do not judge me on punctuation pansyface because i am the first person to say i stink at it and never was a great speller either, but i have heart and a good sense of humor. debra

Debra - the Brexit vote was very similar to the US election in terms of the division of the voters. It's all very strange wherever you are in the world.
I'm going to lighten the mood by saying, my daughter introduced me to 'Scottish twitter' today. I hasten to add that it's very much tongue in cheek and not to be taken seriously. Most of it's also unrepeatable here
Here's one of the more polite offerings, by a young gentleman called Connor, quietly musing on the impending EU referendum: "whit if Scotland just refuses to leave the EU? Like, just say naw, an' tell England, whit ye gonny do - phone the Polis?"
For the unititated, 'Polis' is pronounced 'Po- liss' with the emphasis on the Po.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

raisingirl did not understand it takes a few days for the final tally nigel farrage was seen going into trump towers to congratulate him on his win.
