Just like over here during the Brexit 'debate'. Debate deliberately in inverted commas because the whole thing was basically a lie fest on both sides. Had the Government been more honest about the likely outcome, rather than claiming the world would end, we would probably have had a majority vote to remain in the EU.
WAS JUST TELLING A COLLEAGUE ABOUT HIM AND THE EVILS OF BEANS THE OTHER DAY.
I ALSO REMEMBERED THE LITTLE DRESS SHOPS ALONG OXFORD STREET. YOU WENT IN AT YOUR PERIL AND THEY WOULD CHASE YOU DOWN THE STREET WITH THE 'PERFECT' DRESS IF YOU DARED TO LEAVE THE SHOP WITHOUT BUYING SOMETHING.
I remember him in the mid to late 70s when I lived just off Baker Street and worked at Foyle's and then in Soho Square and Oxford street was my local shopping street. Didn't buy dresses so no probs.
I fail to see how rioting is going to change a vote or its outcome. Waste of time and energy and property. There are more constructive ways to register a protest and change things so it's better next time.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Americans are for the first time in their history are fearful of the office of POTUS. Why? Well for the first in their history there was a real choice. So many generations have chosen between politically centre right and right wing conservative parties. They have never experienced a left and right as we have seen here. Their so called and much maligned ' Liberals' were not far removed from some Conservative Governments. Europeans have seen both sides of fences unimaginable in the USA. It's historically a young country which has always been Conservative with a big C. Liberalism is tantamount to communism in some people's opinions. So should we be surprised? Simply No. They just haven't grown up yet.
