Just woke up, took HRH out for her morning ritual, took top off plant propagator, which was steamed up in the morning sun,  threw some fine wood shavings in the fire box to encourage it to get active, struggled back to bed and read all your posts since I went to sleep last night. Can't believe it's already Tuesday. Slept heavily, thank goodness.

that photo of the rainbow looks just like mine from the other day. Are you sure you didn't somehow fiddle with mine and insert your own background? It's even upside down, Australian style.image

best let youball get some sleep.

Aw!!. That's now not Australian, but thanks PJ. It still looks like mine from the other day though except for the lack of eucalyptus in the foreground.image

    Morning all!

I always wake up before 06:00 (16:00 your time) but upon stepping into the dark torrential rain that has descended the garden I am tempted to go back to bed.

Another 60 children in today. Tomorrow will be quieter so I will be able to rest then. I have decided that my bulbs are definitely going in their pots before Sunday. It might involve getting up early one morning and lighting a few candles! I have deep purple tulips for one pot and tate a tate daffodils for the other. Is there anything else I could add in the pots to prolong colour on the patio? These pots have their time to shine then are taken around the back of the greenhouse to die down naturally.

Hi Pat, I am up...although it is a bit early...still dark here in London! My son has been here for a long weekend and needed to make an early start this am, doesn't seem like much point in going back to bed so putting some ground Tanzanian coffee into the cafetiere.

Been really enjoying the jigsaw puzzle site. Thanks  image

I like muscari with tete a tetes Clari.  Usually leave tulips in pots of their own, because I find their big leaves hard to match with anything else, but you could add some winter pansies for colour throughout the winter.
