I'm quite worn out from all that. Clari, I don't know how you do it.

Dove, your garden is going to be really snug, by the sound of it.

snooze time again. I've had a big day.

    catch you all tomorrow.

Think you should have called in sick too Clari .

Busy ((Hugs)), have ashes of two dogs and a cat in the garden. Good to remember them when walking round.

    See original post

Joyce! I couldn't had I wanted too: there was no one left in the building to answer the phone. image

Dove can I send my bulbs on the train for you to pot up. I have the bulbs, compost, even the pots. But somehow they haven't met in the middle yet!

Just having a quiet few minutes wondering if the phone will ring before home time. I hope not. I really don't have the energy to deal with anything other than a massive cheque from a wealthy donor who doesn't want any publicity about it.

Still when I get home I've the dog to walk, dinner to sort (erm... soup) and the dog to walk before his lordship arrives ready to leap into action with many many bags of plaster to remove from the last few walls. The end is in sight! But it really could have done with not spending a weekend with family. Oh well!

Sweet dreams Pat. We'll try and keep the noise down.

Dove; his lordship is vacuuming the last of the plaster dust (for tonight) while I supervise the oven. Soupy mush for me while he has gougon and chip type potato wedges. A very boring low effort affair in what remains of the kitchen.

I went and looked at my bulbs earlier; it's a stage closer to getting them planted! I did notice a green stalk out of my elephant garlic pot of bulbs to be planted so I'd best get a wiggle on!

If only my arms were longer Clari - I'd plant the bulbs for you image

  • Evening All,

Just spent the best part of 30 minutes reading back on all your exploits, so nice to read of so many happy week-ends spent with family and friends in idyllic little places. image Although sorry to hear that you suffered for it Clari and also thoughts go out to you Pat and BL with your own little sadnesses. image

Good week-end here too, I'm a bit 'fragile' with my emotions at the moment but Charlie was with me and has had a fab time - mostly at friend's birthday parties. Lovely as they were, they were all outside and both me and Charlie are now covered in midgy bites, worst we had all summer. I've gone through a whole tube of cream but am still struggling not to scratch. image

Tonight (sans Charlie) I went to Running Club and worked out all my stresses and strains in training. Came home to a lovely hot shower and am now sat in my comfy PJs half watching British Gardens in Time and typing on here, did spend nearly 5 minutes trying to get a bottle of wine open, ridiculously tight cork image but wouldn't be beaten. image Oh, forgot to say, running Club have signed me up as part of the team to do a local(ish) marathon on the 5th of November, I suppose I shouldn't be drinking the wine but there has to be some reward for effort hasn't there. image

Anyway, going to try and concentrate on this programme now, although I might switch to SCD It Takes Two if they don't show more gardens and less Family Trees. image

Good evening to All, hope you sleep better tonight Hosta. image

That's lovely Rb.  The rainbow almost looks as though it's being reflected in a lakeimage.  Have a nice relax now after your busy day.

Clari - I know you love your work at the museum but your health should come first.  Consider yourself told off and feel free to ignore me like everyone here doesimageimage.

Dove that was a great day in the garden.  I went to a garden centre to get birdseed and winter pansies.  The sun was shining but the rain started as soon as we got home.  I took a leaf out of Joyce's book and started cooking for the freezer.  A bucketful of French onion soup so farimage.

DD you definitely need a wine now and again (whichever way you spell it).  You are doing so well with the running, trying to buy a business, dealing with difficult situations, etc... but you have made so many good friends now. Give yourself treats now and again.  You deserve themimage.

Lizzie a very sad day for you (hugs).
