Have had another 3 hrs with the oval bed. Got out loads of yellow lamium and some sort of tall white persicaria that was supposed to be Persicaria Polymorpha which is supposed to be a well behaved one and stay in a clump. Well it was OK for 6 or 7 years but now it's decided to run riot over the bed and the roots are the devil to get out. Have had to dig out several perennials that were undermined and re-plant them. Also found bindweed that wasn't there before.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Planted 3 newly arrived climbing roses, put 3 more in temporary pots. Potted-on 48 tomato plants. Planted out half a dozen pots each of brodiaea and allium moly. Refilled the greenhouse borders with a mixture of compost and well-rotted FYM. Did some weeding and discovered one of the hoses needs replacing. Also squeezed in bit of pottering and general enjoying of the garden then pricked out about 100 seedlings of various things. Worn out now but looking forward to a similarly busy day tomorrow!
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
I looked at my garden on the way out, and again on the way back in, seven hours later - does that count?
Nice find Hosta
That's a lot of pricking out Bob!
Hoping to get something done tomorrow - weather permitting. A good bit done on Friday after work though. Grass and lots of plants fed, as well as some more seed sowing, mulching and tidying. Spring has definitely sprung
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Can I ask a question.... So I have probably about 10 litres of citrus compost can I add this to the garden or is that a bad idea! My lemon tree died!!
Flower girl I would use around any acidic loving plants. Hydrangea if blue, rhododendrons, azalea and begonia.
Did cut my nieces lawn and trimmed her bamboo
Discovered a hidden Betula Jacquemontii hidden underneath a laurel with massive " suckers" hiding it too.

A happy find, Hosta.

Some kitchen fork gardening lifting primrose seedlings out of the grass plus a fair bit oh hoeing.
Pottered in the greenhouse.
My courgette seedlings seem to have keeled over. The heat maybe?
