Mange to get some bulbs planted today tulips and dwarf daffs. And made up some winter pots, still got all my alliums to plant and other various bulbs. Was hoping to do more bulb planting but I always seem to get visitors when I am trying to do something, good excuse to go and put ketllle on though.
Had visitors over weekend so no gardening , just emptied one of those 4 tie pastlic g/h's of squash that was drying and put in garage , 3 had started to go rotten , in between the rain , not a nice day
Sounds like we have all been busy bulb planting....wyevale have 50% off bulbs at the moment,so plan to take a drive there tomorrow and bag a few last minute bargains hopefully we will all have pretty spring gardens, worth the effort
Joyce our leaves are still frozen. We have been at freezing point, or under, all day. Thank goodness for fleeces (the dog has one too - but it's natural).
Heavy showers, and sunshine here, so darting out when I can but everything is so wet outside. Picked up another sack of fallen pine cones, decided to leave the last of the cooking apples on the grass for the blackbirds to eat - and potted up another two pond plants. Harvested some indoor grown lettuce (cold GH).

Took advantage of the dry spell up here, potted 30 minature Iris in a big pot at the front. Finally potted my remaining tulips and daffs, and cut back a hydrangea and a general tidy up after the blowy weather.

I got an hour's leaf clearing done but a few more hours required to complete the job.
I had to wait until they had defrosted before brushing them up.

It's freezing again Lesley. I had three layers on plus warm gloves and boots.
There's so much still to be done and our last garden bin collection, til March, is next week. . . . guess it will have nothing in it

Put up a snowman decoration and some lights outside for the elderly widow across the lane.
And I guess cleaning algae off some aquarium plants and putting fertilizer tabs into the tank gravel is a type of gardening? lol
