Dull and damp. Bird watch done but visibility so very poor so I couldn't record all the birds that visited my garden because it was impossible to identify them, perhaps I should have chosen another day.image

Lovely sunny day but very cold wind on our five hour walk along the river.

Did the bird watch when we got back this afternoon.  I was hoping the little wagtail would appear to be included but he decided not to visit us.

When the sun appeared today there were beautiful swirls of steaming evaporating moisture from the soggy grass - looked fantastic! Managed to have a nosey at the tree work so far - really pleased as the ugly conifer which was choking out a lovely Rhodadendron has finally gone.

    Scroggin - Floss is gorgeous.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Forecast was sun and showers, we had two or three small showers of 5 minutes or so, but mainly dry, sunny and calm.  Just as well, as we were beginning to fill our pond today, so a lot of standing around.

Stockton, blue skies, sunshine, white lawns, icy roads, at least i do not need the lights on as yesterday. Still it was nice, fourteen people eating my sandwiches and cakes, drinking the teapot dry, two dogs and one great grandson sitting on my knee laughing at the dogs and taking an interest in what went on around him. That to a gardener is what really matters, renewal, children grandchildren and great grandchildren with father time sat in the middle planning this years garden. What is not to like I ask?

    Frank.

Blue sky and sun here too, Frank.

You certainly had a lovely family day yesterday.image

  • My brother is up in Edinburgh with lovely weather, whereas we poor souls in "sunny" Guernsey are getting our months supply of rain today - however the air is warmer here - just very damp.

Happy Days Frank, your Sunday sounds good. I and my OH have just had a swim at our local leisure centre and it was good to get off the sofa. Weather too awful for a walk and I am longing to get in the garden. No mint yet in my pot in the greenhouse so no mint sauce with our lamb tonight. Hope tomorrow brings brighter skies.
