I had an e-mail from my daughter-in-law's mother who lives in Barbados and she said she wishes that she could send me some of that lovely sunshine they have over there. I must say that I wish she could too!

    very dreary here in Cheshire.?

Just after lunch the drizzle stopped and visibility improved, with occasional sunshine lighting up the remaining autumn foliage.  We'd had another flood warning, so the respite in the rain was very welcome.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
  • Hooray it's sunny!!!!!

Stockton N.E. Sunny here too, good job as all the doors are open as new doors are fitted. Forecast says it will warm up even more, we will see, the North Sea has its own way of doing things as we well know.

Got from Tenby yesterday and it was 20 degrees amazing - Lincoln

Cloudy and sunny and forecast good for next few days image

  • After a very dull unpromising start it turned into a warm sunny day here in N London not like late October at all.

    AB Still learning

  • We were told that the weather would be bright today, but no such luck. Another dull day with no sunshine, drizzle and very little rain. Perhaps tomorrow ........

GWRS, My late wife and I loved Tenby, we would tootle down to Chester which we both loved stay a couple of nights then on to Tenby and a good Hotel for a few days. It was always warm or so it seemed we were always relaxed and came home feeling better.

Stockton N.E. yesterday the forecast was correct it was warm and sunny all day. This morning woke up thinking it was still the middle of the night, dark dull and much cooler, all lights are on and the heating went up a notch. Is this early winter as we had a few years ago, snow and ice for three weeks before Christmas, I hope not.

Overcast hear in Lincoln and a bit colder , heating on while having breakfast ?

  • Not colder here, but I think the cooler weather may be on it's way soon GWRS.

    Sunshine here at last!

We have waited a few days for this, and it may be gone by tomorrow.  Why does the sunshine bring the best and worst out in me.  I dashed out with plans to do this that and everything else, but after an hour or so I was completely finished.  However I did manage to plant some of the new cyclamen, polyanthus that I had been nurturing and make new plans for the pond.
