    brilliant clear blue sky.

    Devon.
  • Blue sky here too, but only just above freezing - the wind is very cold.  Supposed to have plenty of snow overnight - schools closed here today and tomorrow.

  • Mostly blue skies but had a couple of snow showers today resulting in a dusting of that sort of small-particle snow which blows about in the wind.  Cold as (anti)hell though!  -5C at 5pm but I'd estimate well below -10C with the wind-chill.

I love this website which shows a global view of the wind at various heights, potential precipitation cloud loading etc.but the best bit is they have an overlay called 'Misery Index (MI)" which you can select after clicking 'earth'. image

That's a cool website Bob, or should I say cold? You can see the UK getting blasted image

Hello , personally just look at BBC weather site image

  • Bob, that's a mesmerising site... I could watch that globe for hours!

My OH loves the weather radar sites on which you can see the size and nastiness of the approaching snow clouds.  For local weather prediction I find the Met Office is most likely to be accurate.

Minus 6.7 here now.  The snow has stopped but is being sculpted into beautiful drifts by the strong wind.

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
