That scene looks magical Johnny Canoe, but you can keep your cold - whilst I enjoy looking at these pictures. Thanks for sharing them with us, and why so many cables? Are they to keep the bears out?
No bears then? Most of our cables go underground these days, hence the roads are often closed in order to lay new or repair old cables. Our roads are like a patchwork and we have had our road dug up 3 times in the last 3 years!
Well it always takes a bit of getting use to when we get our first deep freeze like this. Not the cold but the how noise travels so much better in the cold. From up on the hill here, if a rig driving down the QEII highway at the bottom honks it's horn, I would normally not even notice. Walking to get cream just now, a rig honked down there and it sounded like it was coming up behind me.
The bears would be near hibernating now I think. The cougars and other large kittens might show up in the city if they get hungry enough and the hunting is poor this winter. NICE KITTY, eat him he's fatter than I am.lol

Similar here Busy, we have 7 at the minute. Yukky and damp but no frost.
14 degrees lucky Busy, just 9 here, a nice sunny day, slight easterly wind which has bought the temperature down.
-4 right now and snowing. A high of -17C for the middle of the week.
