Lovely after yesterday's deluge and high winds. An autumnal chill.

    SW Scotland
  • Hey Verdun, send your weather this way please - we are having heavy rain, fog and wind - and it's heading north. We needed the rain but Saturday is our team gardening day so it has been postponed until the weather brightens up.

  • The weather brightened up by 6 p.m. - too late for more than a quick deadheading around patio and driveway.  At least we won't need to do any watering for a day or two.

Hot and sunny today in SW France.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • A big currant bun, looks like a fresh stottie cake in the sky and what on earth is all that blue stuff around it I ask. Great North Run weather they usually get good weather for that and Mo will be trying to beat his last run. Meanwhile we in Stockton will take in the warmth of that mysterious Orb in the sky and luxuriate.

    Frank.
