Was 2 degrees this morning and 6 degrees this evening - both felt u comfortably chilly.
My tree surgeon managed a few hours before the rain came late afternoon - I'll inspect the work in the morning as too dark now - supposed to be fine tomorrow.
Rach where are you ? I am guessing you are in the UK. We haven't had any rain yet here in Cheshire but I suppose it could be on its way from you. Hope your tree surgeon manages to finish the job you gave him tomorrow
Throwing it down with rain at the moment. I'm doing a 10 mile walk tomorrow so it's like to be very squelchy underfoot. We have a 'tree man' coming Monday to reduce a birch tree and trim our mixed hedge so hoping it wont rain.
I'm in Wales, daydaisy, so we only take notice if it doesn't rain! (my post should have read 'uncomfortably chilly' - but autocorrect had it's own idea).
Tree surgeon coming back Mon and Tues - quite a bit of cedar and conifer pruning and culling to be done. In Wales we often refer to a person as: their first name followed by a word associated with their job or defining feature, sometimes with a "The" in the middle, for example: Dave The Gas, Dave Milk, Dave The Limp... so my tree 'man' is Dave Trees!
I think I would call him Dave the Brave if he climbs the trees before cutting limbs off! I use to see tree surgeons culling trees where I worked and I know what a skill it is.
If you are from North Wales we will definitely get your weather but Im not sure about South Wales.

I don't know where our rain has come from, but it arrived by bedtime last night and is still going strong. Very murky out there!
Stockton, dull dour wet cold, the word Winter comes to mind. I think gardening will get a miss tody.
Frank.
Redditch, milder some rain clear now.
