"Oh boy" do we have snow in Stockton on frozen Tees. Woke and looked out on nine inches on the Greenhouse and more on the garage, temperature 0C and still snowing. Better get the Husky's out and polish the sledge runners, it could be a long winter.
My Daughter sent me pictures of her garden in Sonora California and guess what?? more snow.
-14 C, but i'm not complaining. The people that participated in the long distance cross-country ski race Vasaloppet yesterday had -32 C, their clothes froze on their bodies.
Snowed some more last night, now the snow is 60 centimeters deep.
Sunny but cold here in the South west but above freezing. Watching some darkish clouds come nearer so hope it won't snow yet - I've got appointments out!
I'm a bit worried about a largish Carpenteria californica bush, my olive tree in a pot and a myrtle. Have wrapped them all up but high winds now forecast so don't suppose the fleece will stay on.
-2 Inside the greenhouse at 8am this morning but no more fresh snow. Our corner of NW London seems to be just on the outer edge of the predicted Amber warning zone. We have a partial thaw in the sunshine. Our next danger day is predicted to be Thursday.
The first snow of the winter here and it looks lovely (o.k. for one day). The birds have had extra food, and so glad that we put our new trees (still in pots) into the conservatory although it was zero in there first thing this morning.
