Stockton on Tees, Sunshine again temperature 3-5C snow shoes and sun glasses methinks. New Great Grandson arrived yesterday to Granddaughter Sarah, both well.

To any one interested, Stockton has twelve piglets to rehome after a rescue, for pets not bacon.

Gloucester - sunshine wall to wall but a wind that can best be described as "Blooming freezing".

Have been out to put a layer of fleece in the cold frames & made sure everything else is tucked up against a South facing wall - they'll just have to take their chances!

Have also made sure that the bird food is stocked up - we have a blackbird that comes running up to remind me !

  • Icy blasts here too, much too cold for us oldies to venture out! But like you Annie,I will be wrapping up warm to see to the bird food, and thaw the bird bath so they can drink! No rain here for a week now! ?

The whole truth is an instrument that can only be played by an expert.

  • Lovely sunny day here but the wind is fresh.  I am sure we have had more sunshine in February than we had in July or August last year!

Yes brace yourselves for the cold blast, which is being termed "the beast from the east"!

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Lovely sunny if cold day made the most of it. We saw the biggest flock of Fieldfares ever up at the farm today. They only come over this far when the continental weather is/ is going to be REALLY COLD. Good luck all in the week ahead.

Stockton on Tees, No frost no snow, sunshine and clear sky, the trees on the front garden perfectly still so no eastern beasty as yet touch wood. "tis time to gan an gitten me Ganzi back oot" any word police looking in that is how normal folks talk around here, sorry, "err" no.
