Hello , lovely sunny day hear , spent day at allotment - Lincoln image

Do they call them allotments because they mean a-lot to people? image It's been warmer up here in the north of Ireland, but temperatures are dropping with the maddeningly early nightfall.

  • The weather always seems to be nice in Lincoln GWRS but I imagine that it is quite cold?  However I love the sunshine - it really lifts the spirits doesn't it?

Ha Dinah - now that would explain the name allotment wouldn't it - simple! Yes the nights are coming earlier every evening now and we have another 4 weeks to go before the shortest day (not the coldest day though).

4 more weeks to go, 4 more weeks of sorrow, 4 more weeks to go, and longer days will follow! image

  • Yes, that just about sums it up - I like your pattern Dinah. Not cold here but going down to 7 degrees next week - now that will feel cold especially if the wind is from the north or east. brrrr.

Frost this morning -1°, mostly sunny, up to 11° this afternoon.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • A nondescript weather day - no wind, no rain, no sun, just dull and still. Still relatively mild - no coat needed this morning - about 14 degrees.

Just been out to collect the takeaway... fffffreeezzzzing!!

Beautiful cold and sunny day earlier - although the sun showed up all the dust on my windows and floor following the kitchen build last week - oh dear.

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Warmer today. Got outdoors at last to do a bit of weeding and pick rocket and mustard in the edibles garden. I'm just going to take one of the cats and bath it. It must have got shut in one of the neighbours cow sheds last night. It probably slipped and fell down off one of the rafters, because the poor thing is covered in the cow slurry. All the other cats are looking at her with a mix of deep concern, sympathy, horror and disdain (only cats can do that mixture). Soap-suds, rinse and big dry towel time!
