This is our fourth winter in Llandudno, and for the first time I have snow in the garden. Hitherto, the snow has come and gone on the distant hills which we can see from our upstairs windows, today there's snow on the nearer, lower hills. But it hasn't settled on the streets. Llandudno lies across the neck of a peninsula with sea on both sides, hence the mild climate. Ray just googled "Where is the mildest climate in the UK?" And Llandudno came second, after a place in Dorset. The most hours of sunshine fall consistently on Eastbourne in East Sussex, not far from our previous home.
No snow or ice here today, but a very strong wind last night that bought down a decaying Chestnut in our field over the road just as it became light this morning. Not cold, very little rain or sunshine - and the wind abated during the day. Seems like that Channel warmed up the air enough for the snow to pass us by this time.
All your pictures look so pretty - what is the betting on a white Christmas this year then?
Stockton has a full covering of snow, the mature Lawsonia on the front look like decorated Christmas trees. By the look of the road no one has gone to work. It is very cold though bright, we will see what the day brings.
Strong winds and rain today so only going out for basic necessities. Still I think I would rather have this milder weather than your snow and the slush that will follow it Palaisglide.

Great picture Logan we have the same even here on the outskirts of the smoke. No sign of it easing either.
Mild but wet and very windy here. Happy to have rain.
