Didn't see the medal ceremony for Skelton, did they show it?

Watched Nick winning on BBC Sport with daughter and grandaughter. Nail biting job, so pleased for him and GD's running commentary (she's quite some horsewoman having been a reserve for the British Junior eventers team a few years ago and she also showjumps and rides point to pointers) made it even more 'interesting'.  So pleased he won. image

Yes maybe half an hour ago - his chin was qivering - bless him - then they had an interview with him.  He said he will not come back for an 8th Olympic competition - the horse will be too old image

So pleased for him!  Such a fine horseman!   I've been a fan of his since he was a lad working in Harvey Smith's stable -  watched him win the Puissance when he was n'owt but a lad.  Drinking his health here in Norfolk.

S##t stirrer. This is a fun Olympic thread, but there is always someone who wants to agitate.
