I had to replace my main TV in the lounge earlier this year too Liri. Curry's had good deals - we have one about ten/fifteen minutes away. Think mine was under £200
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Biddulph Grange gardens are completely mad, I reckon, Yvie... secret tunnels and stumperies and all sorts of Victorian craziness. Great fun!
Re telly: been looking on line, and because my TV is analogue but still ok, I think we could get a set top box (relatively cheap), so we can get Freeview. Don't want to get a Sky subscription - our satellite signal's becoming unreliable anyway, because of the increasing size of the trees in the park. Not sure if we'll need a new aerial... is anyone out there an expert??
Anyway, for now I've been watching Gardener's World & the Olympics on the Chromebook...
Night all.
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Morning all! Woke up expecting glorious wall to wall sunshine... nope I'd accidentally turned on my winter alarm clock (it mimics sunrise) and the new wardrobes mirror was doing rather a good job of highlighting the effect.
Hopefully the weather will at least stay dry today; we seem to have made a ridiculous amount of washing this week. There's a good breeze so that should help.
No gardening due to back, no long walk much to the dogs disgust either. Truth be told I'm not quite sure what to do today yet.
Good morning Clari and the rest of you as you arrive
Clari, I've got a job for you ... you can hold the sofa down for me while I do a bit of h*wk/cooking/garden tidying this morning - then I'll join you to watch the 'lympics this afternoon
The ballet last night was great - performed 'in the round' in the castle keep, sitting very close with our toes on the edge of the dance surface.
We stopped on the way home to get kebabs. They misunderstood our request for extra chillies and we discovered a box of very good chips in the bag
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Fairy girl , we liked the Hares as well , would go well at bottom of garden , made of Iron resin artist Martin Duffy slight problem cost £8203-00
You could have two sets then GWRS....just remortgage the house....
Beautiful though

The hares are beautiful but I'd be frightened something of that value would be nicked.
For the same reason an old gardener told me to remove the labels from new shrubs as plant thieves would know the plants were easy to remove.
Evening all, A beautiful day here today, have been to Biddulph Grange Gardens and Trentham Gardens, will post photos on garden visit thread.
Haven't been around for a couple of days as I've been busy stitching Jonahs quilt.
Hope everyone is OK.
