Morning all/afties Pat  image We could do  with that Camelot weather as well! Pretty miserable here and not looking like it's getting better any time soon.

Pity about the tennis Liri - but didn't those diving boys do well - absolutely superb! They thoroughly deserved it - what a competition  image  Gymnastics was great too although I didn't see much of it.

Lovely pic BL. image Pity about the cake.. image image

Glad you got something B'man. It may not be forever so try and stay positive. We're all here to help you keep your chin up in the tough times. x image

Just heard that 8 golden eagles have gone 'missing'. Near grouse moors on the 11th of August. Think we all know what that means....image

Better go and get organised for work.  Another day another dollar...pretty much just another dollar  image

    Have a good day everyone

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Bushman - hope things turn out ok ((hugs))

LP ((hugs))  these genetic conditions can be worrying, but forewarned is forearmed - hopefully stuff can be done to mitigate its impact on her life - internet associations and support groups can provide a wealth of information

Must make a shopping list and get some food ready - friend arriving Saturday for a few days and I don't want to spend all the time cooking, so I'll make some dishes I can keep in the fridge and re-heat.

The Golden Eagle problem has been there for quite a while. Gamekeepers are always the first to be accused whenever a bird goes missing. It happened with Hen Harriers and Red kites also. I personally worked on projects to educate keepers about these birds and how to live with them and manage moors around them. However the timing of the announcement by the RSPB does make you wonder. The Grouse industry in Britain is worth many millions and perhaps the RSPB would better serve the people who donate to them by working with people to find an answer rather than accusing. Rant over

  • Afternoon all, evening Pat!

It's another grey and breezy day here, which I don't mind too much as I have no pressing jobs to get done outdoors.  All achey today, which suggests we might get some rain....I never believed that people's joints could hurt more when it was damp weather, but unfortunately have found it that it is true.  The last couple of days I've cleared out junk from our passageway and prepared paperwork for a corporate tax return, so nothing exciting.  A bit of work this morning, and a bit more this afternoon and then I'm free for a few days again, so it would be nice to see the sun out then!

Oh, and I'm currently eating a large Toblerone.....I'd offer some around, but I'm not sure there'll be much left soon!

Joyce, my daughter also has SLE. She was diagnosed when she was 19.  I wasn't aware that there was some good progress being made about it.
