Afternoon,  bit of a breeze blowing up here

roads dept came this morning and fixed the loose manhole cover yippee peace! Didn't notice it during the day but we sure did at 5.30 when the milk lorry came thro!

Pat never heard of a dehydrator, we have a dehumidifier tho!

Clari hope you have good day off, hope th meter is outside and saves hassle

Obelixx sounds hot work but will be so worthwhile, are you taking rose cuttings? Never tried that.

Re canine mouths we use dentastix and dogs love them Vet praised 6 year olds teeth recentlyimage

Joyce we have a very small Yoga/Pilates/therapy studio  some may remember last year I had a run in with a ridiculous water bill Took it as far as the ombudsman but I lost my case and have had to close the studio in the "business sense" We still run it but "trade" rather than charge.  It's is so  popular in the village and for many has been a life changer, literally. The thing is everyone thinks I make money image

LP - the therapy should be beneficial but a bit far for me to travel. . . will need to continue with the garden therapy.

The Air Show is on this weekend so watch out for extra traffic passing through the village.

Dove, I hope you are fully recovered and that Pdoc is none the worse for his outdoor bath.image

It's been very hot and sunny all day but it's suddenly got darker. . . rain on the way?

Didn't think to spray jollop on my belly button. Got three bites there and I wasn't even wearing my bikiniimage. That would've scared them away!

    In London. Keen but lazy.

Lilly; a dehydrator dries food to preserve it. Brilliant bit of kit I love mine now I handmake all my dogs food and treats.

I wish Reggie would even think about chewing a dentastix he just takes them in the garden to grow amongst the lawn weeds.

Planned supper, scrubbed kitchen... lordship texts to tell me he wants to make dinner tonight. I wonder if he'll at least acknowledge the concept of cleaning after you make a mess in there tonight. image

Feeling quite tired and headachy of a sudden. I wish I could nap in this heat!

Honestly - I go to work for a few hours and some of you are nursing hangovers or going a**e over tit in burns or getting bitten on belly buttons....image

Hosta - since I don't partake, and you're seven months to the good, ( well done love, by the way) I think we can be very smug and titter a bit...image

Hope you're  ok doc - you have Mrs doc to look after image

Lovely here, so I'm going to shove some sort of joined up meat in the oven and go out and do some 'stuff'. Just in case Joyce's rain gets here soon....

Did a bitof pottering at lunchtime when I came home - I quite like that. Nice and peaceful image

    Hi allimage

Back home now and had a good journey back, thanks LilyPimage.  While the weather is still dry I've been out deadheading and tackling the easy weeds.  If rosebay willowherb becomes fashionable I'll have a head startimage.  Next it will be the brambles, nettles and a barrier between us and the neighbours.

Pdoc, that was an extreme cooling off measure. Hope your head isn't too sore.

I've really got a lot of reading back to do but remember DD's post and it's great to hear that a bit of 'relaxation' has happened.

Dove, I hope you're fully hydrated and have enjoyed your delicious sounding picnicsimage.  OH has offered to get a Chinese tonight and as we're all starving he set out ten minutes ago and 'phoned to say the shop was shut.  He has been sent to try elsewhereimage.  This could end inimage.

I have just done 5 hours with Marie-Christine pulling the dreaded horsetail but also tidying up roses - dead heading and dead stemming so I can see what's what in September for any cutting I decide to try.  I've done them in spring before now but only had 2 succeed and, of course, the wind blew away the labels so they're rose "Surprise".

Collected seeds for clematis Red Ballon but Red Robin isn't ready yet.  Collected seeds from my cream aconitums for both of us.  Gave her my pod watering system and wee greenhouse heater.   Two more sessions with her before we go and the last will be a divisions day to make sure we both get treasures we love without leaving holes in this one.

OH and I have loaded both cars with stuff for Possum's apartment - desk, shelves, chest of drawers.  Slowly getting her installed.   This morning it was wardrobes and a dining table.......

Dove and Pdoc, I trust you are both none the worse for wear now.

DD - hope you've enjoyed your baking day and that Charlie has a great birthday.

Dentastix - two dogs aged 7 and 9 and teeth perfect so happy vets and owners.

LP - good that you have managed to keep your studio going.   I shall be looking for yoga classes in the new place.

obelixx - I think it's lovely that Marie-Christine is having some plant divisions to enable her to remember you and your beautiful garden.

I enjoy walking round the garden remembering the people who have given plants and cuttings.

Me too, which is one reason I need to take so many with me.

Another reason is that the new garden is a blank canvas and it looks like roses, clematis and perennials are thin on the ground in local nurseries.   I have lots of seeds but some have to be divisions and cuttings.

Lastly, the new owners are not gardeners and have chickens!   Have to save some treasures that I've nurtured all these years!
