Hi, I love caves! Used to play as a kid in King's Cave, Fairy you will know it

Clari if all else fails we will try a thunder jacket, at the moment we are going to try the plug in Soother we have it as a spray for the car. I have a good friend who is a top gun dog trainer and she recommends back to basic training just to remind him who is boss!  As if.......!

I love caves too - have visited some splendid ones in the Belgian Ardennes, also caves in the Peak District, Devon and other places.

I had a lovely day catching up with son - seafood lunch on the sunny beach at Aldeburgh - now flolopped on the sofa with OH in front of the 'lympics waiting for his bike to be delivered back from the menders - then it's meatballs in a tomato and squash sauce with pasta.

    Sounds yummy, Dove...

Thanks all for encouraging remarks re plant supports.  You've persuaded me - I won't offer them to my family.  I'll wait until things have died down for winter, then work out where they'll look best.  It seems a bit odd to re-design a border to incorporate "hardware", but it might make me think creatively...  image

Managed a bit of gardening this morning before the drizzle started.  Olympics this evening, I think; the women's gymnastics was fab last night, I thought.

I have chicken breast, courgette, sweet potato, mushrooms... and no idea what I'm going to make for supper. Does anyone want to motivate me? Doves meatballs sound appealing.

Liri; I think you'll find a way to make the planters suit you're style and add an impact in the darker months.

Thanks Clari.  I'm getting quite excited about using them now.  image

This morning daughter, grandsons and I went to the Hypermarket to buy the boys all the stuff they need for school. Special offers on. Got a trolley load of exercise books, folders, pencil cases, bags etc. Then we met OH at the Chinese buffet wok place, which went down very well with the boys.

This afternoon we went to the river where it goes through the woods, taking chairs, a rug, tea and cake. The boys had great fun playing in the river, not too deep and has clear water. Will post photos when I've downloaded them.

Horrible night here- had the heating on earlier. Only 13 degrees when I came in from work at 5. image

Liri - I think you'll love your prizes once you start placing them image

The gymnastics was great wasn't it? I watched some of the diving too - very good. More on just now and gymnastics later so I think I'll have a cuppa and watch that. Hasn't been any mention of the tennis  image

Sitting by a river on a nice day, with tea and cake, would have been lovely BL. Any spare cake?  image

Oldest fairylet made spag bol which was lovely - nice when I don't have to start making dinner when I come home  image

Clari - have you tried using those roasting bags? I do it with chicken and veg and some spices and bung it in the oven. Really simple - and virtually no washing up  image

Daughter calls it 'lazy bag' dinner. I think she's talking about the bag the food's in....image

Cake was all eaten, sorry Fairy! It was chocolate and we had the other half yesterday.

That's funny, I hadn't clicked post reply and the 2nd photo was still downloading when it posted itself!
